IT Product Support and Development Specialist for SAP (f/m/d)(Pay Grade A 12 BBesO/Pay Grade 12 TVöD Bund, Reference Number: ZEIT3153, Job ID )
This is a permanent position under the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Public Sector (TVöD Bund) in Pay Grade 12. Depending on the applicant pool, an additional temporary specialist allowance of up to 1,500 euros per month may be considered.

What are your main responsibilities?You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of services on the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). In this role, you will oversee the deployment and configuration of services on SAP BTP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive management of a Software-as-a-Service solution on the SAP BTP
- Management, oversight, and implementation of configuration changes, including quality assurance
- Managing and coordinating external service providers as they contribute to development, operations, and incident management
- As part of IT change management, record, interpret, analyze, and implement change requests via SAP Solution Manager, and evaluate the impact of changes on products and applications
- Participate in planning and managing all steps leading up to the go-live of configuration changes
- Evaluate incoming reports in SAP Solution Manager regarding product malfunctions or errors in the role of 2nd-level support and develop potential solutions
- Conduct impact analyses for security and functional updates
- Participate in the implementation of security requirements
We work remotely and flexibly. However, the position occasionally involves business travel, including throughout Germany. These business trips are generally planned well in advance to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
What you bring to the table:- Education: A completed college degree (bachelor's or university of applied sciences degree) in computer science, business informatics, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification. Alternatively, a career qualification for the higher technical service.
- Experience: You have at least 3 years of practical experience in IT and have experience collaborating with or managing external service providers. In-depth knowledge of solutions that utilize Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), as well as knowledge of SAP BTP services, is a plus.
- Skills: You have knowledge of configuring and integrating cloud services, as well as analyzing system logs and monitoring software availability. You should also have experience performing error analysis in the event of malfunctions and problems.
- Personality: You are distinguished by strong analytical and conceptual skills. You have the ability to break down complex issues into understandable terms and communicate them effectively to specific audiences. A structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work, as well as strong teamwork skills, excellent communication skills, and a confident demeanor, come naturally to you. You have an interest in digitalization, innovation, and the further development of modern IT solutions. Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in German, are required.
