SAP FI/CO Consultant — S/4HANA Public Cloud | Remote-First | Permanent | Up to €115,000
Our client is an established SAP Business Partner and consultancy with around 260 employees, delivering S/4HANA Public Cloud implementations to Mittelstand companies, corporate groups, banks, insurance firms, healthcare organisations, and public sector clients across Germany. The Cloud ERP team numbers around 25 consultants and operates in a deliberately flat structure — no layers, high autonomy, direct access to leadership.
The team has grown fast and skews junior. The division lead is now specifically looking for experienced consultants who bring client maturity and gravitas alongside their FI/CO technical depth. They are buying presence and seniority as much as SAP module knowledge.
This is a remote-first permanent role with approximately 30% travel to client sites.
THE ROLE:
You will work across client implementation and advisory projects, focusing on SAP FI core processes and Product Cost Controlling. Projects range from 3 to 6 months for smaller clients to 2 to 3 years for larger programmes. The environment is S/4HANA Public Cloud — no ABAP, development, or classical debugging required.
YOU WILL:
- Advise Mittelstand and enterprise clients on SAP FI/CO implementation and process optimisation
- Run workshops and training sessions — in German, with client teams at all levels
- Configure and customise core FI processes: General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Asset Accounting
- Apply Product Cost Controlling expertise across client projects — this is a key emphasis
- Manage client relationships and workstreams across full project lifecycles, from design to go-live
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Hands-on SAP FI/CO consulting experience across FI core — GL, AR, AP, Asset Accounting
- Product Cost Controlling (CO-PC) experience — explicitly flagged as a priority area
- Excellent German — this is an absolute hard requirement. You must be able to moderate workshops, advise clients, and present clearly in German. A C1 qualification on a CV is not sufficient; demonstrated client-facing communication ability is required.
- Comfortable with approximately 30% travel to client sites across Germany
- Client-facing consulting experience — ability to lead a room with confidence
NOT REQUIRED:
- ABAP, development, or debugging skills — the Public Cloud environment does not use classical debugging
THE DETAILS:
Location: Remote-first — team offices in Dortmund, Augsburg, Chemnitz. 2 to 3 days on-site during onboarding, predominantly remote thereafter.
Salary: Up to €115,000 dependent on experience and profile
Contract: Permanent Travel: ~30% to client sites
