About Us

For over 100 years, CinePostproduction has been one of the leading international service providers in the film industry. At our Berlin-Tempelhof location—which features our own cinema and a team of about 15 colleagues—we produce films, supply theaters, and develop innovative software products.

To support our in-house services in post-production and distribution of feature films, we have been developing our own software products for 15 years. Today, our products SHARC (film distribution to theaters worldwide) and COPRA (streaming platform for review and approval) are among the world’s leading tools for filmmakers. Our software is built on real-world experience—and is used by customers all over the world.

We generally host our own IT infrastructure—from the cinema auditorium to storage, networking, and virtualization. The areas where we’re looking to expand our team are just as diverse: at our company, traditional office IT meets professional film technology.

Your Role

You’ll be our first point of contact for all IT matters at our Berlin-Tempelhof location—from client support and the local network to media technology in post-production and the cinema. You’re not just a specialist, but a versatile administrator who’s eager to tackle a wide range of tasks in a unique environment.

  • On-site IT support: Managing Windows, macOS, and Linux clients, including office IT, user administration (MS Domain, Microsoft 365), and peripherals
  • Local network: Operation and maintenance of the on-site network infrastructure—switching, firewall, fiber-optic and copper cabling, printers, and related equipment
  • Media Technology: Support for post-production-specific technology—cinema and screening equipment, feed and playback systems, reference monitoring
  • Post-production Systems: Administration of workstations (grading, editing, mastering) and our shared storage systems
  • Data logistics: Support for ingest, file transfers, and delivery workflows related to post-production and theatrical distribution
  • Hardware Lifecycle: Procurement, setup, maintenance, and documentation of hardware and software
  • IT Infrastructure: Collaboration on servers, virtualization (Proxmox), firewalls, and IT security together with our infrastructure team
What You Bring to the Table

You should have the following:

  • Several years of experience in IT system administration
  • Proficiency with Windows, macOS, and Linux clients
  • Strong knowledge of office IT, including MS Domain and Microsoft 365
  • Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLAN, Wi-Fi, firewall)
  • A hands-on approach and enjoyment of direct interaction with colleagues
  • A structured, self-directed work style—even when requirements change
  • Strong written and spoken German and English skills
  • You’ll have the opportunity to work on-site in Berlin-Tempelhof on a permanent basis.

Bonus points for our team:

  • Experience in post-production, media technology, or broadcast—you know what a DCP is
  • Knowledge of shared storage (SAN/NAS) and backup systems
  • Experience with Linux servers and virtualization (Proxmox, KVM, or VMware)
  • Scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, or Python)
  • Experience with cinema and event technology (projection, audio)
