IT Administrator (m/f/d) for Directory and Mailing Services

To ensure that our directory and email services—as well as the related services for our clients—can be operated reliably and with a view to the future, we are seeking an IT Administrator (f/m/d) for Directory and Email Services for our Competence Center for Basic Services and Communication Services. With us, you can expect a variety of tasks spanning administration, support, design, and project work.
Responsibilities
- Planning, designing, and further developing directory and email services, as well as the associated system landscapes and processes
- Administration and operation of directory services (Active Directory, Entra ID), the Windows domain, and email services (Exchange On-Premises and Exchange Online)
- Implementation of changes, updates, and tests, as well as monitoring, maintenance, and error analysis of the systems under your care
- Processing of tickets and inquiries in 2nd-level support
- Creation and maintenance of documentation, service descriptions, and procedure manuals
- Independent participation in and leadership of projects for the implementation, further development, and optimization of directory and email services
- Preparing cost estimates, calculations, and proposals, as well as participating in procurement processes and collaborating with external service providers
Qualifications
- A successfully completed degree in the IT field, such as (Business) Computer Science or a comparable degree; alternatively, a successfully completed IT apprenticeship (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration) or a comparable apprenticeship
- Practical experience in administering email services, ideally with Microsoft Exchange On-Premises and Exchange Online
- Knowledge of administering and operating directory services, particularly Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID
- Basic knowledge of the Microsoft 365 environment is desirable
- Strong service and customer focus, as well as a passion for solving technical problems
- Analytical mindset, structured approach to work, and a strong focus on finding solutions
- Ability to work well in a team, as well as an independent and responsible work style
