For the Communications and Information Center (kiz), Media Department, we are seeking a
Media Technology Specialist (m/f/d)
With approximately 135 employees, the kiz is the second-largest central facility at the University of Ulm and provides services in the areas of library, information technology, and media for research, teaching, student affairs, and administration.
The Media Department is responsible for the planning and operation of media technology equipment in all lecture halls, as well as for the rental of multimedia equipment. Its portfolio also includes consulting and support for the conception, design, and implementation of print and multimedia products.
You can expect an exciting and varied position with independent responsibilities in the university setting.

Your Profile:
- Completed university degree (Bachelor’s or University of Applied Sciences diploma) in media technology, media informatics, or a comparable field
- Very good knowledge of media technology (audio, video, control, and network technology)
- Knowledge of the various HOAI service phases is desirable
- Knowledge of public procurement and contract law (e.g., VOB, VOL) is desirable
- Professional experience in planning and construction management is desirable
- Confidence in negotiations, assertiveness, and organizational skills
- An independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work, as well as team spirit
Your Responsibilities:
- Concept development and evaluation (developing concepts for the further development of media infrastructure as part of a team, as well as evaluating media technology solutions while taking financial, technical, and personnel resources into account)
- Project management and oversight (project planning, design, tendering, and billing for projects, as well as coordination of various trades)
- Operation and Monitoring (Ensuring the reliable operation of campus-wide media technology, performing proactive maintenance, and preparing the associated documentation)
