Medical technology and IT are converging—and your role lies precisely at this intersection. In the Medical Technology department, you’ll ensure that networked medical devices are operated safely, documented reliably, and analyzed effectively. Your work has a direct impact on the safety and quality of patient care at a university hospital. Here are your responsibilities: Inventory and Master Data: Managing our medical device inventory (WaveWare)—customizing, maintaining catalog and master data, creating forms, performing EMTEC reconciliations, migrating external inventories, and importing test data from external service providers. Process digitization: Contributing to projects aimed at digitizing administrative processes—such as admission documentation, contract management, and procurement management. IT Security for Networked Medical Devices: Assisting with the replacement of outdated operating systems and the implementation of IEC 80001. Analysis and Reporting: Developing KPIs, evaluations, and analyses as a basis for controllable processes. Technical Support: Assisting department management with IT-related issues. What You Bring to the Table: A completed university or technical college degree in (medical) informatics, medical technology, or a comparable field—or an equivalent practical qualification. Proficiency in working with SQL-based databases (queries and evaluations). Basic understanding of information and data security or a strong interest in learning about these areas. A structured, analytical approach to work and a commitment to understanding and further developing processes. Willingness to learn a networked facility management system (WaveWare). Very good written and spoken German. A plus: Experience with a vFM system (WaveWare or vFM from Loy & Hutz). Knowledge of risk management for networked medical devices (IEC 80001). Knowledge of medical device law (MDR 2017/745, MPDG, MPBetreibV). Experience in agile or hybrid project management. Even if you don’t meet every criterion but have the necessary technical background and motivation, we look forward to receiving your application. Here’s what we offer you: A structured onboarding process for WaveWare and medical technology workflows—prior knowledge of the system is not required. Regulatory requirements in practice: how the MDR, MPBetreibV, and IEC 80001 specifically shape the day-to-day operations of a medical technology department. Opportunities for professional development in related fields such as data analysis, IT security, and digitalization. A meaningful role at a university hospital where patient care, research, and teaching come together. A leadership culture focused on clear goals: defined expectations, open communication, and regular development reviews. Opportunities to shape the future in a department that is currently modernizing and expanding its digital processes. Job ticket, company pension plan, health promotion, and a structured onboarding process.
