Project: Utility-scale 120MW / 240MWh Battery Energy Storage Facility
We are looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the construction and delivery of a 120MW / 240MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Frankfurt. Working alongside the Project Director and EPC contractors, you will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day site construction activities from mobilization through commissioning.
- Coordinate civil, electrical and mechanical contractors on site.
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and site safety standards.
- Monitor progress against project milestones and resolve site issues.
- Lead subcontractor meetings and provide regular progress reports.
- Oversee quality inspections, testing and commissioning activities.
- Liaise with local authorities, suppliers and client representatives.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in a Site Manager or Construction Manager role.
- Previous experience on BESS, solar, wind, substation or power generation projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure and construction practices.
- Experience managing multiple contractors and supervising large site teams.
- Fluent English required; German advantageous.
