A Snapshot of Your DayAs a commodity management professional (f/m/d) you are the strategic procurement owner of the respective commodities within Gas Services Central Service Business. Role requires individual to develop and align a resilient Ecosystem strategy together with commodity circles and in line with global SE strategy and Global Service Operations (GSO & its Regions) objectives. Typical day for Commodity Management professional includes provide and demonstrate supply market knowledge beyond Procurement perspectives to generate value and impact, negotiation with suppliers, supplier relationship management, business case and sourcing strategy preparation/execution, reporting, problem solving, supply chain risk mitigation as well as alignment meetings with internal/external x-functional team.How You’ll Make an Impact- Develop and execute Comprehensive Commodity Strategies (forward-looking) aimed at achieving business objectives (Growth, Resilience & Cost Out) for Global Service Operations & the Regions
- Lead Cross functional Commodity Circle Team that embodies “Value Creation” mindset and drives improvements in cost, on-time delivery, quality, and lead times, while ensuring adequate capacity. The successful candidate will be the strategic leader for assigned commodities
- Provide strategic vision and represents their respective business interests into a global commodity team. Act as a role model for ownership, innovation, and transformation aligned with Siemens Energy’s values and strategy; Lead and develop assigned team members in commodity
- Works on commodity structure and provide periodic updates of commodity health to Strategic Procurement leadership and key customers, shares supplier market intelligence across Siemens Energy; Define and implement negotiation concepts and strategies to maximize savings; negotiate frame contracts and price lists
- Supplier selection, incl. documentation/onboarding and communication of strategic suppliers. Strategic evaluations, supplier classifications and supplier development to ensure an optimum supply chain
- Handle relationships with strategic suppliers to ensure alignment with company demands, enabling early supplier involvement and driving cost-out initiatives; Identify procurement risks and opportunities through supplier market analysis and scouting, integrating findings into ecosystem strategies for continuous improvement of managed spend
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree, or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field; long term of work experience in the procurement area and a proven track record, ideally in a global organization
- Strong commercial and technical understanding and knowledge of procurement, project management, and international contract law
- Experience in functional leadership and project management is required
- Long term experience in multinational Procurement/ Supply Chain function
- Fluent language skills in English(primary) and German(secondary) language
