Staff Solutions Architect – Enterprise

Responsibilities

• The Solutions Architect is Temporal’s primary customer-facing technical leader within the Enterprise team (East).
• Work directly with prospects and customers, guiding teams through technical evaluation, architecture, and implementation considerations.
• Help customers successfully adopt and expand production usage of Temporal over time.
• Partner closely with Account Executives to support both land and expand motions.
• Own key technical relationships and help position Temporal against alternative technologies and architectural patterns.

Requirements

• Reside within the Eastern time zone (United States)
• Exceptional technical communication skills, including presenting, whiteboarding, and writing.
• Deep understanding of distributed system technologies, design principles, and best practices.
• Proficiency in building application prototypes and providing design, development, build, and deployment guidance using one or more of Temporal’s supported languages: Java, Golang, TypeScript, Python, C# or PHP.
• Strong grasp of operational considerations in production environments, such as security, reliability, performance, cost management, and operations.
• Ability to provide clear guidance on architectural topics, including application patterns and platform architectures.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider and familiarity with commonly used application development and production services.
• Ability to serve as a strategic technical advisor to Sales Account Executives, helping scope opportunities, identify technical risks, and navigate complex evaluations.
